Can the dead feel the closeness of love?
My cat can, sitting upon the lap,
looking up with eyes of attention
or
at least
I think she
can.
It runs through my mind
and I’m not sure why?
Maybe I think about my own
Death
and
I hope
to love
to remember
those still living
to dine with friends
my grandpa and grandma
who died when I wasn’t
ready
You’re never ready.
